I was a Java software engineer for ten years. Now I am doing mainly front end development — i.e., designing and developing web sites.
The reason I’ve chosen to specialize on the WordPress framework is because I am fascinated with its way of wrapping up the various building blocks of web site architecture.
Database, mySQL, php, html5, css, and javascript. WordPress wraps it up in a complex package. It does it with elegance.
